About

Widely recognized as a top doctor in orthopedic sports medicine in Dallas and the United States, Dr. Nathan Boes is a surgeon at Apex Orthopedics in Frisco, Texas, where he specializes in the treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries. Dr. Boes is board certified by the American Board Orthopedic Surgery and Fellowship Trained in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction. 

He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in biology and corporate finance. He completed medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine in College Station. 

He trained in orthopedic surgery residency at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital, in Dallas, Texas, providing level one orthopedic care in the busiest emergency room in the country. 

Dr. Boes completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine at Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. Where he took care of professional and recreational athletes including the Colorado Rockies Baseball, Clemson Tigers, Greenville Triumph, and Greenville Drive.

Dr. Boes spent an additional six months in Auckland, New Zealand, learning international healthcare and caring for rugby and cricket athletes.  

As an educator of residents and fellows, Dr. Boes publishes research, serves as a member of AAOS, AANA, AOSSM, ASES, and has interest in healthcare advocacy, spending time in Washington DC on Capital Hill for his profession and patients.
