What is sports medicine?
Sports medicine is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis and treatment of injuries related to physical activity.
Dr Boes completed an orthopedic surgery sports medicine fellowship at Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Greenville, SC. During this time, he served as team physician for Clemson University athletics, Colorado Rockies baseball, Greenville Drive baseball, and Greenville Liberty women soccer teams.
Who needs sports medicine?
If you injured yourself while engaged in physical activity, either playing sports, at work, or during normal activities, you should schedule a consultation with Dr Boes. We see people of all ages with the goal of helping return you to an active, healthy lifestyle.

- Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear
- Rotator cuff tear
- Labral injury (hip or shoulder)
- Shoulder dislocation/instability
- Ankle sprains
- Achilles tendon rupture
- Biceps tendonitis
